Baghdad

Hundreds of thousands of people in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, marched against the corruption and sectarianism within the Iraqi regime. People shouted “Secularism, secularism, no to Sunni, no to Shia!” against the ethnic discrimination which was carried by the US occupation forces.
Protestors also called for the Energy Ministers to resign due to the power cuts. They chanted “Friday after Friday, we’ll get the corrupt out!”
Iraq Communist Party which is a member of WAYU has also attended the protests. We, as the members of World Anti-Imperialist Youth Union, support the struggle of the oppressed people all around the world against imperialism for independence, freedom and democracy!
