The 2026 NATO Summit: The Last Gasp of a Dying Monster

Imperialism is a paper tiger. The latest NATO summit did not demonstrate the alliance’s strength; instead, it confirmed its irreversible decline.

The goals announced at the NATO Summit held in Ankara on July 7–8 demonstrate not the alliance’s strength, but its desperate aggression in the face of crises. The massive 5 percent budget target allocated to military spending promises the people not prosperity, but only poverty and war. Imperialism seeks to shift the burden of its decaying system onto the backs of the world’s peoples, who are no longer willing to remain silent.

No Amount of Wealth Can Revive a Dying Monster!

The resolve of Iran and the axis of resistance has buried the U.S.’s perception of invincibility in the Strait of Hormuz. The peoples of Europe refuse to fund wars that enrich arms monopolies, and movements for independence are on the rise. The billions of dollars in aid packages put on the table for the war in Ukraine are the final death throes of a dying NATO; no matter how much gold is poured into a dying body, decay cannot be stopped.

NATO is an instrument of control that serves the interests of U.S. monopolies, not those of its member nations. As General De Gaulle noted, this alliance erodes the independence of its member countries. Today, from Turkey to Germany, all member nations are condemned to poverty by the same war budgets and will no longer tolerate this system.

A New World Is Emerging!

While NATO can offer humanity nothing but war and decay, the struggles against imperialist banditry are accelerating the birth of a new, multipolar world.

We, as the world’s anti-imperialist youth organizations, stand with the peoples at this turning point and are firmly opposed to imperialism. The future will not be shaped by war profiteers, but by the peoples and younger generations who defend independence, solidarity, and peace. Rejoice: A new world is being born!
